OUR FOCUS: Relational Neuroscience and Love Across the Lifespan
First you might ask, “What the HECK is relational neuroscience?”
Dr. Helman refers to it as “rocket science” encouraging that learning it “is not rocket science!” Rocket science has to do with the relational nature of the brain–from attachment development for a baby ages 6 months to 2 years to studies showing that if people stop all social groups at retirement they have a 12% increased risk of death. We are relational creatures profoundly influenced by our environment.
We combine the fascinating science of the brain with intimacy during educational lectures about: grief, financial stress, sex education, dating safety, dementia, caregiver stress, and much more. See our list of common presentations under Speaking Topics.
